Policies & Current Prices (Effective immediately*) Standard Tuning (Typically for pianos that are tuned regularly, and have good climate control): $90.00
Pitch-Raise (A "double" tuning-one visit. This may be required to stablilze the piano properly): $25.00 additional to standard tuning.
Assessment/Estimates $50.00/piano or $66.00 minimum per appointment. When combined with a tuning, verbal assessment of your piano is included. Written estimate combined with tuning during the same appointment is half price. Fee may vary depending on the piano's geographic location, and/or type of estimate requested. If the appointment takes more than one hour, I will start charging on an hourly basis for an assessment. Fee is non-refundable.
Repairs are billed hourly. The first hour is $66.00 and after that it's $44.00/hr. However, if the repair is paired with tuning service and only takes up to a half of an hour, you will be charged for a half hour only ($33.00). If the service call does not include tuning, there is a $66. minimum/appointment.
No Show/Missed Appointments You will be charged half of my tuning fee ($45.00). I will wait for up to 15 minutes for you to arrive. If you are running late, please call me to let me know. I'm very understanding! I'll try to reach you at the phone number that you gave to me when we scheduled. If we can't get in touch, I'll leave my bill at your doorstep.
Cancellations Please notify me at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel. You may be subjected to a fee otherwise. If you decide not to call/email to let me know, you will be charged $45.00 and be considered a no-show.
If I'm Running Late I do my best to be punctual to every appointment. However, due to traffic, and appointments that run over due to unexpected repairs, I ask my customers to be flexible & forgiving. I will always try to call to let you know in advance. The only time that you would not get this phone call is if cell phone reception is poor. If you have to leave during the tuning, I have no problem making arrangements to lock the door behind me (if you feel comfortable with this).
My Prices are non-negotiable. My service is not the least expensive that you will find, nor is it the most expensive. I base my prices on cost of living, equipment maintenance, and other expenses associated with running a successful business. Please don't ask me to lower my prices for you. It makes me uncomfortable because I always have to say "no". Thank you for understanding.
